Ecole de la beauté
This is a picture of painting my father gave me in 1999. This painting is 4 feet by 3. This picture certainly doesn”t give it justice, the colors are stunning. My father gave me several pieces, but this one is definitely my favorite. In 1970 there was a painting mouvement called L’école de la beauté, the subject would always be a captivating woman’s face in an imaginary setting. While painters would dive into the new trend, metal, wood and leather artists also emulated the painters and created similar Ecole de la beauté masks. 1970 was a great year…
In a meeting today ‘my boss’ announced that I was wrapping up the bugzilla customization project. It took me 14 days and I am really proud of the final result. From .cgi, templates, to the email bug reporter receives, everything was customized. Now my next task is to create an interface to an Oracle database that runs a web application used by Yahoo! among others. The database tool will be used by customer support and give them the ability to query the database without the knowledge of SQL. Oracle here I come !!
My first day as an intern started quite nicely I would say, I have 2 instances of bugzilla running successfully, tomorrow I will attack the upgrade.
I am so upset! Since Apple came out with the iPod video, the websites that I used to access in order to exchange music videos, are down,the shift happened in a matter of days. How did they do it ?Gives them a call and threaten to sue . But if so, why ? A music video in pretty much the same thing as an ads presented on TV, a tool to market a product: a music CD. So now, why would I pay for an ad? I have been downloading music videos for a while now, since MTV started to focus on insipidity such as Laguna Beach. I scatter the web for the latest jewel of the music video industry and that too is illegal ! I do not have an iPod, I have the Creative Muvo MP3 player that cannot upload videos but because a portion of the population owns an iPod video and Apple need to make profit I am being penalized ? 
Today was the last day. I am done. I cannot believe it. The internship will start Monday. I have learn a lot beside programming and the subtlety of the IT industry. I will be eternally grateful for Mr. Pilat who gave me back my passion for learning.
